How to get to Tsilivi Zakynthos

The island of Zakynthos is served by one airport situated on the south end of the island close to the resort of Laganas and Kalamaki and caters for international as well as domestic flights.

Almost all international flights are chartered flights from other European cities during the summer season (from May to October).

Domestic flights are available between Zakynthos Airport and Athens International Airport two times a day and the journey lasts approximately 1 hour. There is usually also a flight between Zakynthos and Thessaloniki. Please contact the airport for more information.

By Ferry Boat

From Patras you can drive or take a bus to the Port of Kyllini which is about an hour away and from there take the ferry boat directly to Zakynthos Island.

There are several ferries per day running between Zante and Kyllini and the journey lasts approximately 1 hour.

From Italy there are four ports, Ancona, Brindisi, Bari and Venice which may have routes to the large port of Patras on the Greek mainland. Please contact Hionis Tours for more details.

Buses run from Zakynthos Town to Patras and Athens on a daily basis and are linked with the timetables of the ferry boats.

The total journey including ferry transfer and refreshment break is approximately 6 hours until Athens and 2 hours to Patras.

Zakynthos town runs bus services to the main tourist resorts on the island.
